Ontario’s Ministry of Labour has announced that it’s inspectors will be pursuing a “workplace safety blitz” over the next three months, until December 27.
This enforcement initiative will target musculoskeletal injury and respiratory illness prevention.
The blitz will focus on workplaces in the construction, health care, industrial and mining sectors.
Inspectors will ensure employers have trained their staff on materials-handling practices and a variety of other safety procedures.
